Oh! My OshKosh! Wanna See What a Pair of 8000% Wins Look like? (OSK, ISRG, AAPL)

Posted on August 9, 2023

On top of lining up a potential winner of 3233% on today’s trade, we’ve got two to close for north of 8000% each.

Howzat?!

Kinda reminds me of the Pluggbutt Rapids, just south of Caribou Crotch on the Mackenzie River, where I spent a week waiting for a medivac after my canoe ripped in two on a rock, and we were tossed to the shore like an empty can of sardines.

—Right onto a long forgotten haul of gold!

It was 1988, I was just out of University, and who the hell thought of placer mining as a career?

But more on that in a future instalment.

First, we bank some cash—

We opened our ISRG initiative exactly a week ago (8 August) in a letter called Non-Invasive Penetrative Surgery.

The recommendation was to sell the ISRG October 20th 325/330 CALL spread for $2.10 and buy the ISRG October 20th 315/310 PUT spread for $2.00.  Total credit on the crime was $0.10.

And now…?

We’re closing the PUT spread for $2.20 (20.30/18.10), and selling the long 330 CALL for $6.60.

That puts exactly $8.90 in our pockets until such time as the short CALL expires—or we buy it back.

Should it expire worthless (as we fully expect), we’ll have succeeded in chiseling a monumental 8850% in just ONE WEEK—adjusted for minimal commissions.

And that’s both non-invasive and penetrative.

Take a Bite of This…

Details on our AAPL trade can be found HERE.

In brief, we’re holding the November 17th 190 synthetic short and a credit of $0.60.

And…?

The trade is in-the-money FAT!

So…

Buy back the CALL for $5.30 and sell the PUT for $13.05, and you dance a sweet Debka of $8.25 NET on just a dime spent.

And that’s 8250%, bro.

And now for today’s trade.

Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) does trucks.

Big trucks.

And her numbers look mixed to (relatively) reasonable.

  • P/E is 16.63.
  • Dividend Yield is 1.57%, and…
  • P/B is 2.01.
  • But Earnings FELL over the last five years by 15.60% per annum, and…
  • Are expected to FALL an additional 22.17% over the next year.

So where’s the hope?

Certainly not in the technicals.

After the company reported earnings on August 1st, the stock price soared.

But it’s likely reached its apex.

Have a look—

Very good chance we’ll close early for a swift gain.

The Good Lord willing!

Many happy returns!

Matt McAbby
