There’s No Such Thing as an Honest Air Conditioner Salesman (CARR)

Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE:CARR) plays with the air in your home, office and home office—making it, by turns, colder, hotter, etc.

But it also makes its investors money.

Until recently, in any event.

Sorry, pal.

Fundamentals

The company is not without its advantages, as you’ll soon see.

Especially during hot spells like the one we’re currently experiencing (no, it’s not global warming).

Who, in a fit of heat, doesn’t seek out a refuge with reliable AC?

That said, the numbers themselves don’t speak to reliability.

• P/E is a still-too-big 18.21, while…
• Dividend Yield is 1.38%, and…
• P/B is a plump 5.52.
• The company carries too much debt (D/E is 1.09), and…
• Last Q/Q Earnings came in at MINUS 72.30% (next earnings arrive on THURSDAY of this week).  And maybe most important—
• Insiders offloaded 35.37% of their stock in the last six months for a $21 million total payout.

Canadians are proud of their beaver-like appearance.  Some claim they evolved—not from apes—but from that diligent and resourceful semi-aquatic rodent loved by children and adults the world over.

So much for Canadians…

Anyhow, have a look now at the dam built over current price on the daily chart—
