CHAG SAMEACH, Good Jews and Noahides!

Sukkot, as you know, is the festival of separation.

That’s why it’s so filled with joy.

With Hashem’s help, may we achieve a full separation from all that’s evil, all that’s unholy, and all that hinders us from closeness to the Al-Mighty G-d of Israel.

Next week, we return to our regular publication schedule.

————————————

We’re looking at the transports this week, because they’ve shown a great deal of weakness of late, and we believe it’s only the start.

In particular, we’ve zeroed in on Georgia’s SAIA Inc. (NYSE:SAIA), truckers of last resort across the United States of America.

And with that, we move straight to the fundamentals:

  • SAIA rides on a P/E of 31.60, while analysts expect that number to deflate to just 25.20 a year from now.  (We say that latter figure is a mite bit hopeful.)
  • Dividend Yield on the stock is BUPKUS, while…
  • Price to Book is a jack-knifing 6.06!  You try to keep a rig like that on the road.

  • EPS were DOWN on the year by 3.42%, while…
  • The latest quarter’s Earnings AND Sales contracted by 16.63% and 6.83%, respectively (Q/Q).
  • And if that weren’t enough, insiders bailed on 20.11% of their holdings in the last half year.

The company’s next earnings release arrives at the end of October, but we’ve a hunch it won’t take that long to put a stick in the spokes.

Have a look at the chart…

Enjoy your time in the sukkah, friends!
